£1,500.00 (Sold out)

Corgi 267 Batmobile. Very, near mint/boxed. Issued 1966-67.
Scarce 1st issue in Matt black with correct no gold tow hook.

Rare.

Superb example, from the USA ‘Carolina’ collection.

Description.
This is the first example I have ever handled in matt black. With lovely silky black matt finish it has the following features;
• All accessories retained in their original sealed bag.
• Batmobile leaflet.
• Original packing surround.
• Both internal and external box and stand.
It is complete with both Batman and Robin figures, has a working tyre slasher and retains a tight spring. The rocket launcher is untested. All rockets in the sealed bag. The suspension is very nice all round and as the car roles the ‘pulsating flame’ responds.

Condition. Very, near mint.
All the bright work, figures and cockpit are superb as is the wheels. The body has an occasional mark the most notable on the left side rear wing are two little marks.
This model has been barely handled and the sealed bag supports this. The underside has no trace of chipping at all.

Box. Excellent Plus –near mint.
The inner box stand and back scene is very nice. The back scene is bright card and has no creases. The stand has occasional small tears where the wheels stand. The outer box is complete has bright card with both end flaps and sides fully affixed and firm box tabs. One end flap has a small area of crushing. The main inner packing surround is present and strong.

Summary.
A rare piece and a fantastic item especially for the TV-Film collector. As I said the first I have ever handled and not very often seen.
