Corgi Gift Set 25 Shell or BP Garage layout. Rare. Issued 1963-66.

This Gift Set is not easy to find and this is the first we have ever had.

Description.
This set comprises of the following;

Corgi 224 Bentley Continental in Cream over metallic apple green. It has a red interior, spun wheels, a spare in the boot with grey tyres. The chrome finish is gold not silver and jewelled headlights.
Condition. Very, Near Mint.
No chipping but an occasional box rub. The back bumper has some lost plating in the centre.
Box. Very, Near Mint. Slight crush only.

Corgi 225 Austin Seven in red with a yellow interior, spun wheels.
Condition. Very Near Mint.
Occasional box rub with two little chips around right headlight.
Box. Mint.
No faults.

Corgi 229 Chevrolet Corvair in deep mid blue with a yellow interior, spun wheels and opening boot.
Condition. Very, Near Mint.
One tiny chip on front bonnet edge and a casting mark on rear door left side.
Box. Almost Mint.
Tiny crushing only.

Corgi 234 Ford Consul Classic in beige with pink roof and yellow interior with spun wheels and opening bonnet.
Condition. Very, Near Mint.
Just a little box rubbing on centre high edge line only.
Box. Very, Near Mint.
No crushing but minor edge wear.

Corgi 419 Ford Zephyr Police car in white with red interior. It has ‘POLICE’ transfers on bonnet and back an aerial and blue roof light with spun wheels.
Condition. Almost mint.
Just an occasional minor mark only.
Box. Mint.
It also has the additional packing piece within.

All vehicles have working suspension and are in original condition.

Building Kits.
The following buildings are in original sealed bags within each box and in as new condition.

• 601 Batley ‘Leofric’ Garage x3
• 602 Telephone Boxes.
• 606 Lamp Standards x2.
• 608 Shell Filling Station Building.
• 609 Shell Filling Station Forecourt.
All boxes have original sealed bags of contents within boxes.

Accessories.
• One box of scaled figures. Box has slight tear.
• Humbrol paints still within their original sealed bag unused.
• Aurora cement I believe unused but a little sqeezed.
• Play mat unused.

Main Box. Excellent Plus-Near Mint.
Box top is complete with no tears. There is a little defacing on top. Overall the box has aged but you can see it has been stored away for many years. Box base is solid with no tears.

Summary.
A  superb and rare set I will be sorry to see go. It is evident there has been little if any play only the cars show a little box rubbing but still appear un-played with. All items appear original and box holds correct contents.
